The study area is in Gujarat, India (see pictures below), at about 21.5° N and 71° E.

Weather data is available for 3 weather stations in Gujarat: Amreli, Dhanduka and Rajkot (see the map produced with maps.google.com below; you can zoom in, zoom out, click, pan, etc.).

For each station, there is daily data for the years 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003 and 2004. You will inspect the available weather data shortly. Sites for Indian weather information are for instance www.weather.nic.in/, www.imd.gov.in or www.imd.ernet.in/.

Information about the groundnut crop can for instance be found on
www.ikisan.com/links/ap_groundnutCrop%20Establishment.shtml. From this page, we can find some required 'management' information for the groundnut crop, such as sowing date/germination date and seeding rate.
